SAGU in Focus:

For more than 80 years, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) has prepared men and women for a life of higher purpose. SAGU believes in building Christian character while providing academic skills that ensure career success.

SAGU’s professors are concerned not only with students’ academic success, but also with their spiritual growth. With small class sizes, professors are better enabled to meet individual student needs.

Campus life is an enriching experience. By living, worshipping, working, and interacting with other Christians, students are stimulated and encouraged by the influence of their peers.

Plus, the addition of two new 70,000 square foot dormitories makes campus living comfortable and convenient. Spacious bathrooms, study rooms, prayer rooms, fitness rooms, laundry facilities on each floor, and wing lobbies for socializing, make the dorms a comfortable home away from home.

Community/Regional Information:

SAGU is located in Waxahachie, Texas, in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

Although SAGU is nestled in a town noted for historic architecture and hometown atmosphere, SAGU is still near many metropolitan area attractions. The Dallas area is home to professional football, hockey, baseball and soccer. Theme parks, theaters, restaurants and other entertainment are only a short drive from campus. There are also hundreds of churches in the area where students can find their fit. Plus, thousands of employers provide ample job opportunities.
