North Central is part of the larger community of Minneapolis, which is a city of nearly 400,000 people with 2.9 million people living in the surrounding metro area. The Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area offers opportunities and attractions that will enhance your college experience. Part-time job opportunities are within walking distance or accessible through the new light rail system. The area also has an abundance of regional theaters, museums and concert halls. Minneapolis is well known for its lakes and parks that have miles of trails for inline skating, biking and walking, including a riverfront with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River.
