Placement:
The Career Development Center assists students in converting their majors into careers. Seniors are assisted individually and collectively in researching organizations, writing resumes/cover letters, compiling portfolios, learning interviewing skills, interviewing with campus recruiters, and investigating job leads. In conjunction with area universities, Evangel University also offers Graduate School Information Day, Teacher Placement Day, and Spring Career Day, which attract hundreds of nationwide recruiters. Career opportunities are also listed and updated in the online “Career Bulletin.”
Community/Regional Information:
Evangel’s 85-acre campus is located in Springfield, Missouri, a growing, medium-sized city with ample employment opportunities. Springfield is a college town, with five other colleges and universities nearby. In addition, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary is adjacent to the Evangel campus.
For those interested in outdoor activities, Springfield is surrounded by the beautiful Ozark Mountain country, featuring lakes and streams for fishing, and parks and trails for hiking. The family-oriented theme parks and entertainment of Branson are less than an hour away.
